The area around the house and
within the Sibillini National Park provides many opportunities for
the "professional" hiker and casual walker alike.
The region encompasses mountains and hills,
valleys, woods, streams, foaming waterfalls, lakes and snowy
expanses.
The Sibillini which, in places, has a landscape that is Alpine in
character, the spectacular caves at Frasassi and the forest clad
mountains in the Montefeltro area - all should be visited.
There are many areas of outstanding natural beauty in the province
of Pesaro, such as the Cesane pinewood between Urbino and Fossombrone
and the massif of the Furlo with a gorge some 3 kilometres in length.
All over the region visitors can enjoy a variety of well-marked
paths, while maps, guides and handbooks are also available to help
in discovering those hard to find attractions.
